Mentor for Development in Liberia (MDL) is a non-profit educational support organization based in Liberia. We envision a Liberia where every youth’s potential is fulfilled. We believe that today’s youth are tomorrow’s leaders; therefore, they must be provided with the guidance, skills, resources and opportunities to fulfill their potential and become positive change agents within their communities. Hence, our promise is to create the next generation of successful and socially responsible leaders through mentorship, tutorship, leadership and entrepreneurship programs.
To date, Mentor for Development in Liberia has supported nearly 15 at-risk high school students with mentorship to stay on the path of education. We have recommended three mentors for full-time job opportunities.
When the deadly Ebola virus was ravaging communities, and subsequently led to the closure of schools, MDL provided free school supplies and tutorials in Mathematics, English, Reading and Writing to over 200 underprivileged kids in elementary.
