Through her campus involvement with Global Service Learning and her interest in other cultures, she has served in Kansas City, Chicago, Tucson, New York City, England, Turkey, Guatemala, and India. After an internship in Washington D.C. with the Women’s Human Rights Program at Amnesty International USA, Rebecca continues to stand up against gender inequalities in her community. On campus she is also a member of Plain's Pride, Society of Scholars, and Environmental Action. Rebecca has worked with Nebraska State Senator Amanda McGill, the Lincoln Police Department, ACLU, the YWCA and Nebraskans for Civic Reform. Rebecca's goal is to combat violence against women and human trafficking, in Nebraska and around the world, by creating powerful change at the grassroots level. Since graduating, Rebecca is working as the Child Welfare Program Associate at Nebraska Appleseed.
