Andrew Aboujaoude is a student at the University of Central Florida who is majoring in biomedical sciences. He aspires to be a military physician who will one day serve his country and his surrounding community. In his two years at UCF, Andrew has become very motivated to help his community. His experiences as a food share volunteer and a hospital volunteer deeply impacted him. As a result, he was inspired to do his part as a social entrepreneur to help improve the healthcare situation of the homeless community in Orlando. This is why he founded Hearts for the Homeless Orlando, an organization that aims to counteract chronic hypertension in the homeless community. His organization works with community food shares and local healthcare clinics that treat the uninsured and homeless. Andrew loves the graciousness of the volunteers and the homeless community and is continuously inspired to lead and serve.
